A wonderful sight from filming the other day. For those of you who have nor read my book about dogs (why not?) Dalmatians were Coach Dogs - their function was to guard coach, horses, passengers and valuables. They usually ran behind brcause space on board was at a premium but when the passengers got off at an Inn, they would station themselves on the vehicle to keep watch. On the road again today for more filming this week, making two films about dogs for History Hit.
