It was International Dog Day last Thursday. Normally you might have expected me to post and to plug my book about dogs. However this was not possible as I was still in hospital with my broken wrists /arm.Now I am home and especially thankful for my dog, Giselle. She is an 11-month-old Brêton spaniel and normally a whizz-bang, fizz-bomb of effervescent energy. However she seems to sense that I’m in pain and lies by my side all the time with her head on my stomach, transmitting her healing powers. It is extraordinary and deeply touching.After 10 days in hospital it was good to get out today. You will see that my dog also has a bandaged paw, in order to be just like me. She cut her pad on something the previous day.Meanwhile my book about dogs continues to receive good reviews. The most recent is from ‘Old Bob’ , who writes on Amazon US: ‘Fantastic book and a great read. Excellent writing and love the way he covers all the things.’Many thanks for that Bob, and many thanks to all dogs for all they have done for us. ...
