Does anyone know of anyone in France who may have replica Egyptian weapons? I may be doing something with French TV and we are looking for various weapons. La Musée de l'Armée in Paris has put together an exhibition on The Duel, which opens on April 12th and runs to August 18th. I hope that I'll get the chance to visit. Meanwhile, entirely by coincidence, two films about Duelling that I made last year for History Hit are about to be released. I wrote, produced, directed and presented them.The first is about duelling with the sword and the second about pistol duels. Each runs for around 30 minutes, so they are obviously not encyclopaedic but I hope they give a good general overview to this extraordinary social custom.
