This is an exceptionally interesting discovery of an arrow embedded in a bone. It is a Parthian trilobate arrow and there appears to have been no attempt to remove it. The Parthians used both bronze and iron arrowheads. According to a report I read elsewhere, this one is iron. It seems to me more likely (no more than that) that the victim, who was struck in the tibia (shinbone) may have been on a horse. Of course infantry can be shot in the shins but I'd venture this area is more vulnerable to archery for horsemen.Was he pursuing and fell foul of a Parthian shot?
