The response to History Hit making my two documentaries about DOGS in history freely available on You Tube has been phenomenal – nearly 40,000 views in 4 days and climbing! (see 2 posts below for link). Thank you! Also, You Tube is renowned for attracting a lot of stupid and toxic comments, yet so far – people have been ‘mostly’ very kind and encouraging. Thank you all for that. It will help when I’m pitching to make more films about dogs.It has also brought a great many more people to follow me here. Again – welcome to all you new followers. If you’d like to know more about dogs in history then there are several articles (also FREE) on my Substack that might interest you. Hello and welcome to a pack of new followers. There’s been a sharp upturn following Monday’s post about my DOG FILMS being released on You Tube – so my guess is that a lot of you are dog /dog-history enthusiasts. There is so much more dog history to explore. These first two (bundled together as one in Mondays link) were ‘Dogs of the Tudors’ and ‘Dogs in the Age of Revolutions’. I hope to have the opportunity to make more films that look at the intersections of dog and human history: ‘Dogs of the Classical World’, ‘Dogs of the Middle Ages’, ‘Dogs of the Victorians’, ‘Dogs of the 20th Century’. Let me know which of these you’d most like to see.For those who don’t know I have also written a book about dogs - ‘Dogs: Working Origins and Traditional Tasks’. Here’s a link to a video about it: ... See MoreSee Less
